BIOGRAPHY
After studying gemmology in New York, Manuel Bouvier began his career at Cartier in the fine jewellery department, to which the Cartier Museum would later be integrated. There he discovered the precious stone market and familiarized himself with the heritage of the Cartier house, thereby developing a taste for exceptional and refined creations. He then worked with Marina Bulgari, who taught him the rigor of design and great freedom in the choice of colours.
In 1992, he founded his trading and creation company. Supported by skilled craftsmen, mixing modern materials and centuries-old techniques, he creates unique pieces set with the rarest gems: diamonds, coloured stones and fine pearls he acquires around the world. He creates tailor-made pieces for his clients and friends, both sober and refined. Quality and style are at the heart of his production.
"It is important for me to separate the highly mechanized and rational jewellery industry from fine jewellery, where craftsmanship and rare materials make it possible to create truly unique jewellery."
Manuel Bouvier was the chairman of the IC Fabergé Foundation. Located in the historic heart of Geneva, his offices are a meeting place for collectors and enthusiasts of precious stones.
«IT MUST, INDEED, HAVE TAKEN MILLIONS OF MILLENIA TO FORM THE STRIP OF CRYSTALLINE LIMESTONE WHERE THE PRECIOUS STONES OF MOGOK ARE FOUND. IT CONTAINS RED, PINK, PURPLE AND BLACK SPINELS, THE PERIDOT, OR OLIVINE, WHICH IS THE MOGOK EMERALD.»
